Mother's Day. Ann and all her children come. Michael fished in river during rain. All good - played game. Rosy left. Ann gave me a beautiful short house coat. Rosy, Joe came and ate with me. Present, a beautiful pale blue jersey. Katy called. Tommy called.
May 16. Worked in the sodden ground, took hours to get it in proper condition for planting. Bermuda onions and lettuce in my flower plot, compromising. So ironic when we have such a big area for a vegetable garden Hand pained intolerably. Slept little.
May 17. Rosy came with Patrick, raining. She bought almost all her Christmas presents (cheap, very) at Toy City. Rosy, Joe went out to dinner. Patrick strange with me, but Joey helped.
May 18. Patrick still will not let me feed him. Screams when Rosy leaves. Janice Burns called briefly during her lunch hour. When Rosy gave her maternity clothes, she brought gifts for both children.
May 19. Took Patrick for walks in stroller since weather cleared. Rosy getting some cleaning done. Patrick getting more relaxed. Watched Rosy and Joe leave with couple next door. Kept him up too late. Learn from handling him. Joey fine, played out with friends. (Came home from school with a paper crown on head--Math Champ. So pleased.)
